Drehgriffel Nr. 1 Sage

The Drehgriffel Nr. 1 ballpoint pen is inspired by the stationery design of the 1920s. Its collection features a hexagonalbody in different color versions, which gives it a unique and eye-catching touch. It is comfortable to hold, and its design has won several awards. Leuchtturm1917 described this pen as «a homage to the art of writing».

As Leuchtturm1917 explain, the German word Drehgriffel is made up of two parts. Dreh translates as to twist or turn, which stems from the innovative turning mechanism of the ballpoint pen, and Griffel is based on the oldest writing utensil in the world (from the Greek grapheĩon = Writing instrument).
